Breakers fall 1-0 to North Carolina

Milford’s Morgan Andrews played the entirety of the match for the second straight week, but the Boston Breakers fell 1-0 to the first-place North Carolina Courage on Saturday at Jordan Field in NWSL action.

Andrews was credited with a shot on goal and a corner kick during the setback for the Breakers (2-6-2), who were looking to snap a four-match losing streak on Wednesday on the road against the Houston Dash. Results were not available by Cabinet press time. Boston is slated to host the Washington Spirit at Jordan Field on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Hoop Camp coached by Dan Murray

Milford varsity boys basketball coach Dan Murray is offering a clinic for ages 7-16 during the week of July 24-28. Hoop Camp will be assissted by other coaches and high school players and will be held at Milford Middle School. For an application or questions, call 672-7140.

Amherst Middle School has openings for the following fall coaching positions: Girls “A” soccer, Girls “B” soccer and Girls “B” field hockey.
