To the Editor:

Sincere thanks to the residents of Bedford from the Schneller family and state representative candidate John Schneller. My family and I started a race in July that we had never planned to run. We were encouraged to join the race by a small number of friends in town who were concerned that the local Republican Party was not recruiting enough strong candidates for the September primary. It turns out, remarkably, that the Republicans fielded twelve strong candidates. Many, such as myself, were first time candidates for any office.

I promised my family that we would run as a family and we gave it our all. Although we didn’t know many people at the start of the campaign, the result was that 912 people voted for me (us) and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We got to know many great people in town as well as many quality candidates. The Schneller family whole-heartedly thanks the residents of Bedford for your support.

While I am a registered republican, I strongly encourage ALL registered residents of Bedford to vote in the general election. I know firsthand how hard each candidate has worked. We should thank them by performing our civic duty and voting on November 4th. Thank you all again and God Bless America.
