Our Promise to Nicholas Easter Egg Festival set for April 15

BEDFORD – That’s right, 10,000 eggs will be ready for your little ones to gather up at this year’s Easter Egg Hunt Festival scheduled for 8:30 a.m.-noon on Saturday, April 15, at the N.H. Sportsplex in Bedford. This popular family fundraising event from the OPTN, now in its ninth year, has become a favorite of the Hillsborough County residents and their children. OPTN’s mission is to raise funds and mold partnerships to promote awareness, provide education and fund the development of research to fight a rare and fatal brain illness called Batten Disease. It’s easy, the more money raised; the more research that can be accomplished, the closer we become to finding a cure for Batten.

OPTN is seeking sponsors, at all levels, for this year’s Egg Hunt to join their contributing sponsors: the NH Sportsplex, Executive Health and Sports Center, Alkemy Partners, Catholic Medical Center, Bedford Ambulatory Surgical Center, Spectrum Marketing and Rothwangl Dental Care.

Through the support of corporate sponsorships, local businesses and community volunteers, last year’s event was attended by 1,600 guests who helped raise $42,000 for the foundation! Our goal for 2017 is to raise funds to support expert nursing care for children suffering from Batten Disease and an essential research project supporting a national data base and patient registry through the University of Rochester, and Harvard University. With your support we can reach our goal.

The Easter Bunny is ready with his 10,000 candy and prize-filled eggs. For those not actively “hunting,” there will be live entertainment by Jungle Jim of Boston. In addition to the Easter Bunny there will be princesses, Batman, lovable characters, bounce houses, games, face painting, reading-a-long, a silent auction, a bake sale and a huge raffle for amazing Easter Baskets.

Tickets are being sold on-line for $8 per person or $28 per family. By registering online at https://ourpromisetonicholas.com/eggs2017 you will be assured a speedy entry.
