Levesque declares victory

On Tuesday, New Hampshire state Senate Democratic candidate Melanie Levesque declared victory over Republican incumbent Kevin Avard and issued the following statement:

“I’m incredibly honored to have earned the trust of New Hampshire voters and the opportunity to represent them in the state Senate,” Levesque said. “Thank you to the hardworking volunteers and grassroots supporters who powered this campaign from Rindge to Nashua and believed in the promise we made to put New Hampshire people over politics. This victory also belongs to you.”

Melanie Levesque is a Nashua native and small businesswoman who is currently the president of TCS of America Enterprises, a communications consulting company. Levesque also previously served three terms as a state representative in the New Hampshire House of Representatives representing the people of Hollis, Brookline and Mason.

“My campaign was focused on the issues that matter most to our community, including making health care more affordable, supporting local schools, and making sure state government provides the services we need in a responsible way,” Levesque added. “I’m eager to take my place in Concord and use my voice to do just that and ensure state government finally puts the people of New Hampshire first over politics.”
