Cannons scholarship award

The Bedford Cannons Youth Lacrosse program is looking for players to received the fourth annual BYLA Service Award Scholarship. All high school seniors currently living in Bedford, who were players in the youth program, are encouraged to download an application at www.bedfordcannons.org. Qualifications for the award are listed in the application. All applications are due by May 1.

Coaches wanted

The Junior Bulldogs are also looking for football and cheer coaches for the 2014 season. SWIMMING

Barracudas registration and open house

The Bedford Barracudas swim team will hold registration and open house for the summer season from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on April 7 and 15 at the McKelvie Intermediate School cafeteria. Returning and new swimmers must register in person on one of the dates. Bring completed registration forms (one registration form and conduct clause per swimmer and one volunteer form per family) and payment in cash or check made out to “BST.” The cost is $120 for each swimmer in a family. BASKETBALL

BBL scholarship

The Bedford Basketball League offers a scholarship for up to three high school seniors planning to pursue post-secondary education in college or vocational programs, and who demonstrate strong character traits consistent with the mission of the BBL. Scholarships are offered for full-time study at any accredited post-secondary institution of the student’s choice. The application must be received by May 1, 2014.
