“Goldens on the Green” will be in Amherst

The Amherst Town Green in Amherst, NH will be overflowing with Golden Retriever dogs and puppies this coming Sunday, October 18th from 1-3 PM. The event is organized by a local resident, Bill Swift, with the funds raised to benefit the animals awaiting adoption at the Humane Society for Greater Nashua.

The event will be held on the Amherst Town Green and will include a Kissing Booth (1 PM), Pool Diving Championship (1 PM), Awards Ceremony (2:15 PM) and Parade of Goldens across the Town Green (2:30 PM). There is no cost for admission; however a $10 per Golden Retriever donation is suggested. Owning a Golden is not a requirement to come watch the event and any donations are appreciated. Although there will not be any on-site adoptions, you can to talk to Nashua Humane Society volunteers to understand their current availability. This family-friendly event will leave you with a Feel Good feeling for the rest of your day.

Last year nearly 2 dozen Goldens and their families joined together for this event. The Humane Society and Bill Swift are eager to see how it continues to grow from year to year.
