Daniels appreciates voter support

To the Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank primary election voters for supporting my candidacy to serve as their state Senator. Voters had many good candidates on the ballot from which to choose, and I continue to be humbled by their vote of confidence in me.

In addition to addressing the needs of my constituent communities, there is still much work to be done in ensuring that our state government is run efficiently and according to the standards by which we, the citizens, must financially adhere.

The controlling of taxes and spending will continue to be a major focus, as will revitalization of education and health care reform. I believe that these are the issues that hold the key to economic growth, lower unemployment and prosperity for own region and the state, and I’m prepared to work toward that end.

As your Senator, I would continue to stand up to big government, demand that the state live within its means, fight to control taxes and spending, and work to establish or enhance pro-economic growth policies that pave the way for good paying private sector jobs so that the unemployed and the underemployed may return to work.

I commend all candidates for their willingness to serve the public and extend my congratulations to those who won their primary election. Over the coming weeks I look forward to continuing my dialogue with District 11 residents (Amherst, Merrimack, Milford and Wilton), listening to their ideas and suggestions, and working with them for the betterment of our communities.
