With the help of a generous community, SHARE prepared more than 250 students for the start of the new school year by providing backpacks and school supplies. There are many people to thank, including area churches, businesses, the Souhegan Valley Boys & Girls Club and the many SHARE friends who support us all through the year – no matter what we ask, they deliver! Thank you.

A special thank-you to Steve Keskinen and Chris Fournier of Stephen Marx Hair Salon, who treated our families to an ice cream social while they chose new backpacks and supplies. Many friends volunteered that day as well, and we are grateful for their time and commitment to the children of the Souhegan Valley.

Even low-income parents want their kids to start school with new sneakers, supplies, clothes and a fresh haircut.

This is a daunting task for those who barely scrape by. The community’s partnership with SHARE in this venture means so much to them. Thank you.
