Making progress
For the second winter, The New Hampshire Wellpoint Foundation, in conjunction and in cooperation with the Hampshire Dome, again offered a free opportunity for seniors 70 years of age and older in the Souhegan Valley to walk, jog and socialize in a safe environment. The “Walkie-Talkie” crew grew by 26% this winter and averaged more than 40 walkers per day. Clearly, the program has been a great success and many nice “thank-you” messages have been received. We, at the Wellpoint Foundation are delighted and would like to thank our walkers for their participation, their consideration of each other and for their help in spreading the word of the opportunity. Further, thanks to the staff of The Dome for their help in making this unique program so easy and enjoyable. We hope to be back next winter and to do it bigger and better.
