Alabama and Georgia legislators are not pro life. They may be anti-abortion, but they are not pro life. Their states consistently have high infant mortality rates. Pro life people would work to keep more of those infants alive. Georgia has one of the highest maternal mortality rates. People who consider themselves pro life should show they care about all lives. Increasing health insurance coverage is pro life. Including mental health care in that coverage is pro life. Decreasing gun violence is pro life. Increasing protections for clean water, clean air and food safety is pro life. Legislating abortion restrictions is only a way to claim the pro life mantle without putting any money into it.
