Getting our country back on track

A while back I had the opportunity to attend and meet Joe Biden at an event in Manchester. I was interested in his viewpoint on many issues, health care in particular.

I was impressed with his ideas. We need to move forward and continue to improve health care. Tearing it down without having any idea of our next move would be a disaster. Our families deserve better.

My mom is in the final stages of Alzheimer’s, a disease that is cruel and relentless. I can’t imagine watching my mom deteriorate while having to fight for her to receive the care she so desperately needs. Our elderly shouldn’t have to worry about healthcare especially during end of life. They should be able to live out their final days with compassion and dignity.

As president, I believe Joe Biden will fight for families like mine. He knows we need to restore the middle class in this country.

He is passionate about preserving Medicare and Social Security. Older Americans are being forced to choose between saving for retirement or caring for their loved ones. We need to be able to do both. Joe Biden will work to strengthen care for our most vulnerable, including widows and widowers.

As president, he will work hard to provide better care for our veterans. They deserve the best care after sacrificing to serve our country.

After speaking, he shook my hand and thanked me for coming. I was glad I could attend.

He’s proven he can get things done in the White House. If he wins, Joe Biden can get our country back on track again.
