The Oath
The oath says “impartial justice”
Senators must swear to this
Not to shield little Augustus
From him facing a blackened kiss
A trial contains evidence,
Witnesses and Document.
To do less brings a consequence
Electoral discontent.
Republican conspirator
We are watching what you do
Do you support a dictator?
Will honesty come to you?
An innocent man clears his name
By a voluminous defense
Denying this should bring great shame
And negative consequence.
Confusion and obfuscation
Denying relevant fact
Truth facing manipulation
Will be the deceitful tact.
So bring your voices loud and clear
And so spread across the land
That truth we must certainly hear
For Democracy to stand.
