Bring back leadership and vision

Anyone who volunteers to run for public office, or serve on a Town board or committee, needs to be commended. Often there is a “can’t win no matter what” or “you can’t please everyone” feeling and you grow frustrated. To me, that is what makes Tim Finan different…he has served the Town of Milford and been instrumental for several decades in many capacities – Selectman, Planning Board, the Budget Advisory and Capital Improvements committees, the Recreation Commission, Granite Town Media, and probably others. He has been deeply involved as well in non-municipal service organizations. Even though most people lose interest in serving the public, Tim Finan only wants to do more.

Because of Tim’s many years of involvement he has a deep understanding and historical perspective on Milford issues. He is the type of person who asks questions, does his homework (knowing there is often a lot of history behind these issues), and builds consensus. He can manage without micromanaging. He has earned the respect of Town citizens, employees, and fellow officials.

Mr. Finan has honesty, integrity and transparency. And a sense that Milford needs to have a vision and sensible planning on all levels. The current Board of Selectmen, with an exception, exhibits no leadership or vision. None. The Board comes across as a group that doesn’t do its homework, think forwardly, and says “no” without any reasoned rationale. Tim Finan will help the Board regain respect, move forward and take action, and put Milford back on track as the jewel of the Souhegan Valley. I urge you to be an educated Milford voter and elect Mr. Finan for Selectmen on March 8th.
