Ashamed
The Republicans running the anti-Hassan ad should be ashamed of themselves. The ad that claims she raised the gasoline tax by 23% sounds horrible but:
What she did do, was eight years ago when she was governor she added four cents to the tax (18 cents to 22 cents) with the tipulation that the 30 million dollars raised would all go to fixing red-listed bridges, crumbling roadways and I-93 improvements.
Even with this 4 cent increase in taxes, New Hampshire would still have the lowest gasoline tax of any New England state and lower than most states in the country.
Senator Hassan was a good governor, and is an excellent senator for New Hampshire.
