Regardless of where we live or what we look like, we should all have the freedom to make the best healthcare choices for ourselves and our families. The decision of when and if to become a parent is one of the most important many of us will make in life. If someone you love needs an abortion one day, wouldn’t you want them to be treated with compassion and receive the care that they need?

The Republican Senate candidates running against Maggie Hassan should never be allowed anywhere near the United States Senate. They back the Supreme Court’s draft decision to overturn Roe. They are all-in on an anti-choice agenda. Chuck Morse was the deciding vote in the NH senate to block legislation to protect abortion rights. Kevin Smith sent a fundraising text to his supporters saying “we are so close to ending abortion once and for all.”

These men are extremists. Their goal is to criminalize abortion everywhere for everyone. We need to do all we can to stop them and re-elect Maggie Hassan. We need a fighter like Maggie who will stick up for our freedoms, not an extremist Republican trying to obliterate them. We can stop their attempts to control women’s bodies and guarantee our freedom to make decisions about our healthcare based on science, best medical practices, and the specifics of our own situation.
