Vote Republican

I urge voters to support Republican candidates in the November election; Republicans are not “semi-fascists” or “a threat to democracy” as the president asserts. Yet, Senator Hassan and Representatives Kuster and Pappas have consistently supported the president’s rhetoric and the reckless policies of the Biden/Harris administration. Consider what this administration has done at our southern border and what they have done to drive inflation to a 40-year high. Part of the inflation issue results from trillions of dollars of uncontrolled spending by this administration and part is due to the administration’s war on fossil fuels, and its response to climate change.

If you care about the environment you should be aware that the Democrats will not support nuclear power which releases no carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. In fact, most Dems want to shut down nuclear power plants, many of which were decommissioned prematurely, and which now provide only 19% of our electric power. We should build the latest generation of efficient, clean nuclear plants and extend the lives of older plants; yet the Biden/Harris Administration and congressional Democrats keep pushing wind and solar energy. These produce less than nuclear, 12% of our power, so what generates the remainder? Well, natural gas provides 38% of our electrical power which is not a bad thing because US natural gas is cleaner than gas produced in other countries. The Biden/Harris push to the left includes returning to the flawed environmental agreements of the Obama administration which allow other countries including China, Russia, and India to release as much carbon dioxide as they want. Right now, China is building coal-fired power plants; they have no intention of adhering to the Paris Climate Agreement.

The US electric utilities emit far less CO2 into the atmosphere than other countries, yet the Dems consider many of these polluters to be ‘developing’ nations that are exempt from the tough atmospheric limit on CO2 that is imposed on US utilities.

Republicans recognize that we need an ‘all-of-the-above’ approach to energy, at least until renewables are produced economically and efficiently in our country. The timing depends not on government mandates but on complicated supply chains and market-driven changes.

Are we better off now than we were four short years ago? We all know the answer to that question.
