Girls Lacrosse

Hollis Brookline 11, John Stark 8

Paisley Broadhurst led the Cavaliers with three goals and two assists on April 17, while Cece Fetter added a pair of goals and an assist. Goalie Olivia Valentine had 11 saves.

Hollis Brookline 11, Kingswood 9

Contributing well in the April 19 win was Victoria Bruzik (four goals, four dc), Kelsey Sweeney (two goals, two assists), Reagan Berry (three goals, one assist), and Tasha White (one goal, three assists) who all scored four points each. Caroline Smith led the defense with one groundball and three caused turnovers, while Olivia Valentine made seven saves in net.

Baseball

Hollis Brookline 11, ConVal 0

The Cavaliers won their first game of the season April 19 behind the pitching of senior captain Nate Corsetti who pitched a complete game two-hit shutout striking out five with no walks. Nick White led the offense with three hits including a home run and Tyler MacDormand also homered for HB.

Hanover 8, Hollis Brookline 5

The Cavaliers (1-3) had trouble sneaking past Hanover in the later innings of the game on Monday. Despite the loss, Nate Corsetti and Joe Brown both had good performances on the mound.

Softball

Con Val 14 Hollis Brookline 13

The Cavaliers lost a close one at ConVal April 19. Starting pitcher Gabby Paquin gave up three hits, four walks and nine runs, while reliever Cassidy Pigott struck out one, gave up two hits, and five runs. Pigott also had a double and a single, Delayani Kovalchek (two run home run, single), and Savanna Bent had a double that brought in three runners.

Hollis Brookline 15, Trinity 3

The Cavaliers picked up their first win of the season (1-4) on April 20, paced by Isabel Keefe’s inside- the-park home run. Cassidy Pigott and Gabby Paquin pitched well for HB, combining to shut down Trinity after the first inning.

Boys Tennis

Souhegan 6, Hollis Brookline 3

The Sabers (3-0) had home court April 19 and used that to their advantage to take out the Cavaliers (4-1). Hollis Brookline had wins from No.2 David Cherkassky (8-4), No.6 Alex Anghol (8-2), and the team of No.3 Matt Williamson- Ben Zielinski (8-4) in doubles.

Girls Tennis

Manchester West 5, HB 4

Winnings in singles on April 19 were No.1 Courtney Koran (8-3), No.5 Julia Stam (8-5), and No.6 Sam Randlett (8-4). The team of No.3 Holland Traver-Randlett (8-1) were the only winners for Hollis Brookline.

Boys Volleyball

Salem 3, Hollis Brookline 1

The Cavaliers won the first set 26-24 before losing the next three 26-24, 25-17, 25-20 on April 19. Hollis Brookline had a good show on offense with Jonathan Brackett totaling 18 kills and Scott Van Coughnett tallying 32 assists, while on defense Vivek Nithipalan had 17 digs.
