Local girls lax team finishes undefeated

The Hollis- Brookline Youth Lacrosse 12UB team completed an undefeated season.

The Hollis-Brookline Youth Lacrosse 12UB (fifth and sixth grades) girls team went undeafeated this season.

On Sunday, the Cavs went on to win the championship with a 7-6 sudden-death overtime triumph over Exeter. Amanda Gardinier scored the winning goal in the extra period. Bella Haytayan scored three goals, while Alyssa Hill, Megan White and Julia Vella scored one apiece in the championship game. Elizabeth Rutledge played stellar at goalie, making 10 saves.

The Hollis-Brookline Cavs beat Plymouth 7-3 earlier in the day to advance to the finals. Alyssa Hill and Paige Mello each scored two goals while Cailean Roy, Bella Haytayan and Megan While all scored one. Elizabeth Rutledge had 11 saves in goal.

Members of team from Hollis include: Bella Haytayan, Amanda Gardinier, Meghan Stack, Gabby Dias, Megan white, Julia Vella, Paige Mello, Maddy Hartsock, Nadia Caplan, Rayna Caplan, Brooke Bavis, Renee Leblanc, Rachel Brown, Kristin Hallerman and Elizabeth Rutledge.

Members of the team from Brookline include: Cailean Roy, Brooke Silvestri, Alyssa Hill, Jenna Russell, Cheyenne, Abby Hoffpauir, Katherine Jokinen and Gianna Bingham.
