Hollis Brookline High track teams step up at Pelham meet

The Hollis Brookline track teams took part in the Pelham High Invitational over the weekend with several fine performances turned in during the first big meet of spring.

Lily Jackson took third place on the girls side in the discus. The sophomore sent the disc flying 104-feet, 9-inches on her best heave of the day.

The boys featured three strong placers. Sophomore JJ Kennedy was fourth in the long jump, scoring with a leap of 19-feet, 9-inches on his first attempt of the day.

Also earning point for fourth was thrower Matt Dowling. The senior scored fourth in the discus at 117-feet.

Finally, sophomore Chase Adams made the finals and clocked in sixth. He hit the line in the 110 hurdles in 18.64 seconds.

The Cavaliers boys and girls will be back to work this weekend when Nashua North hosts Invitational meet on Saturday.
