‘NO. 1 MOM’ Samaritan

Returning to my Milford apartment on Tuesday morning Jan. 23 from Cumberland’s, still-melting snow from in front of Granite Square Apartments was found to have melted overnight and refrozen at end of the private road ending at Bridge Street – black ice for about six feet before return to dry surface.

Finding my sneakers slipping, with 4 feet to go, and in spite of my ice grip cane employed, at 86, (to avoid chance of falling). Down to my knees safely, I was crawling about 5 feet to clear the ice. Only three minutes later, a lady with a “NO. 1 MOM” New Hampshire license plate from Granite Square parked and got me to my feet.

Thank you, NO. 1 MOM!”
