Witch Way to the 5K set

Join us for the seventh annual Witch Way to the 5K on Saturday, Oct. 29. The kids 1K fun run starts at 9:30 a.m. and the adult race begins at 10 a.m. at Lurgio Middle School located at 47A Nashua Road, Bedford.

Witch Way to the 5K includes a chip-timed race, perfect for those who want a great 5K experience, while also offering active Halloween fun for families and kids of all ages. There will be a costume parade prior to the start of the race, a bounce house, face painting, pumpkin decorating, a costume contest, raffles, and post race snacks for everyone to enjoy. Due to its popularity last year, team registrations will be accepted again this year. Create your own team with classmates, co-workers, friends and or family and register as a team. One team will be awarded the Top Team Cauldron Cup!

This community race is a nonprofit event, raising money for the technology department at Ross A. Lurgio Middle School, as well as donating a portion of the funds to local charities. Again this year, 10 percent of the proceeds go to Camp Allen, a Bedford based organization for adults/children with cognitive and physical challenges. This will be our fourth year in a row supporting this worthy organization.

Lurgio Middle School is proud to not only offer a fun, yet competitive road race, but to also support the school technology department in its efforts to provide new technology to over 750 students. Lurgio is also very pleased to be able to help other worthwhile programs such as Camp Allen.Register for the race now at www.sau25.net/ww5k.

If you are unable to participate in the race, you can still be a sponsor or make a donation to support our event by visiting www.sau25.net/ww5k.
